A company is only as good as the people that work for it, and we like to think our team is the best in the business, combining a genuine love for all things canine plus an ability to handle a lively pack in the best possible manner.

We are:

Amy - General Manager

Dog history?

I have worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes for around 8 years now and I absolutely love working in day cares. This is where dogs have the most fun and we are lucky to get to witness it.

Best moment at Capital?

My best moment at Capital so far is an ongoing thing really; I love how many dogs’ lives we are a part of. I look after these little fur babies like they are my own and they play such a huge part in my life.

Fave breed?

Husky. Silly, bouncy, noisy, big cuddles, super energetic. Plus, I own one!

Which breed of dog are you most similar to?

Golden Retriever. Outgoing, trustworthy and with a happy approach to life!

Interests outside of work?

I spend a lot of time with my Husky, Ghost, as he makes me so happy, but when I’m not out and about with him, I’m either at the gym or seeing friends.

Carys - Day Care Assistant

Dog history?

I’ve been around animals for a large portion of my life, whether it’s dogs, cats, lizards or snakes – you name it! My dad had a total of eight dogs (of all shapes and sizes) at one point. Being able to spend my week in the company of so many fabulous pooches really is a dream come true!

Best moment at Capital?

I think watching some of the more shy pups grow in confidence in the field has been one of the best parts so far. It’s so lovely to see them come out of their shell with our help and support!

Fave breed?

I’m a sucker for a Labrador – who wouldn’t want to be squished by what is essentially a vacuum cleaner with a tail that still thinks it’s the size of a puppy?!

Which breed of dog are you most similar to?

I think it would have to be a Basenji – small, chaotic, loves to sing but is always up for a midday nap!

Interests outside of work?

I’m a crafty one! I’ve always got some kind of project on the go, whether it’s crocheting a snood for the field or whipping up some pet portraits. I’m also part of a local musical theatre company, so the pups always receive their own personal concerts during pick-ups and drop-offs in the van!

Cheyenne - Day Care Assistant

Dog history?

I’ve been around dogs all my life! Since I was young I’ve lived with many different breeds and we have always groomed, cared for and trained them ourselves as a family. I currently have babies who live with at home: Minnie the Pug, Kali the Bulldog and Rocky the Toy Poodle!

Best moment at Capital?

My best moment so far at Capital has to be having my own entourage following me around all day for kisses and cuddles (and treats!).

Fave breed?

My favourite breed has to be Rottweilers. They are adventurous, cuddly and far smarter than anyone will ever realise!

Which breed of dog are you most like?

I would say I have to be most similar to a Staffy – short, full of love and cuddles and can have a very sassy attitude when needed.

Interests outside of work?

My main hobbies and interests out of work are tennis, everything DIY and trying new foods. I also am an incredible singer according to my karaoke scores!

Dom - Day Care Assistant

Dog history?

Having grown up in the Italian countryside I have been around animals from a young age, I have fond memories with my neighbours farm dogs and have dog-sat many holiday goers’ pups.

Best moment at Capital?

From starting here, I have loved getting to see each dog’s different personality emerge, watching doggie friendships form and developing a connection with them.

Fave breed?

I’m torn between Vizslas and Brussels Griffons, they are completely opposite in many ways but both breeds have such unique personalities!

Which breed of dog are you most similar to?

Whippet – Tall, lanky, energetic and with an excellent selection of jackets.

Interests outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy spending my time exploring London, skateboarding and drawing. I also love the occasional music event!

Eleisha - Field Operations Lead

Dog history?

Growing up, I spent a lot of time on my Auntie’s farm, and she always had dogs running around! She’s a dog behaviourist and would often take me to her appointments. These days we have a Romanian Rescue pup in the family that I adore. I am also studying for a Level 3 qualification in Animal Care.

Best moment at Capital?

It’s hard to pick a specific moment but every time I arrive at the field and see friendly doggy faces, I feel happy!

Fave breed?

Lurchers! They love to explore but are super docile and loving at home. I am guilty of loving Cavapoo cuddles too.

Which breed of dog are you most like?

I would say a Labrador. I’m a friend to all and always up for a sociable occasion. I’m easy going but have bundles of energy!

Interests outside of work?

I absolutely love to travel; I aim for one long haul trip a year! Stomping around the countryside, spending time with friends (pooch friends too) and rock concerts are also my jam.

Gemma - Day Care Assistant

Dog history?

My family have always had dogs; I grew up with a rescue Lurcher who I was glued to throughout my childhood. I would love another but – until then – that gap is filled seeing all the dogs every day!

Best moment at Capital?

Snow day, seeing the dogs go crazy rolling around in the snow was amazing, especially the puppies that hadn’t experienced it before.

Fave breed?

Viszla: Super smart, hilarious characters and absolutely crazy!

Which breed of dog are you most similar to?

Dachshund: Small, noisy, energetic and love nothing more than wrapping in a warm blanket.

Interests outside of work?

I love to go on long hikes and travelling. I’m also a big gamer.

Liam - Day Care Lead

Dog history?

I grew up with four Boxers (not at the same time; that’d send anyone insane) and my mother worked with dogs. So I had a childhood surrounded by them.

Best moment at Capital?

The best moment is continuous. I get to spend my days with dogs, how can any single day be beaten?!

Fave breed?

Definitely Boxers. They’re just absolute clowns and the perfect family dog. Picture a whirlwind of wiggles and slobbery kisses, wrapped up in a package of pure goofiness.

Which breed of dog are you most similar to?

I’d have to say an Afghan Hound… purely due to my long luscious locks.

Interests outside of work?

I’m a big music fan, and musician. I’m also a big Manchester United fan much to my own detriment.

Lu - Day Care Assistant

Dog history?

I’m from a dog-crazy family and have always grown up with dogs, from Mindy the Labrador cross, who I was inseparable from as a baby, to a whole host of smaller dogs: Midge, Millie, Mai and Malfy (we always seem to name our dogs with the letter M in my family for some reason!).

Best moment at Capital?

My favourite moment at Capital is every time I come back from my lunch break and all the dogs run up to me as I walk back into the fields – it makes me feel like a celebrity!

Fave breed?

My favourite breed is probably Dachshunds. I always seem to get on very well with them, although big dogs do give the best hugs!

Which breed of dog are you most similar to?

I think I’m probably a bit like a Cocker Spaniel – gentle, love being around my people, make a lot of strange noises and a bit clumsy (also my hair is very prone to getting tangled!).

Interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I do tattooing from my home studio. I enjoy anything in the fantasy genre, and I love archery – I’m a member of a range in Deptford and proudly display my bow in my bedroom!

Megan - Day Care Assistant / Social Media Manager

Dog history?

Before joining Capital I was a dog walker alongside my other job. Spending time outdoors with these furry bundles of joy was always the highlight of my week, and I feel so lucky that I now get to do this every day! We’ve always been lucky enough to have dogs in the family, with the most recent addition being our loveable rescue Sasha!

Best moment at Capital?

I find it so hard to pick one particular moment as coming in always puts a big smile on my face! But if I had to pick one I’d say it was seeing everyone dressed up in their spooky Halloween costumes – cuteness overload!

Fave breed?

Airedale terrier! They’re super outgoing, fun and loveable dogs with heaps of energy and a LOT to say – although I might be slightly biased as we do have two in the family!

Which breed of dog are you most like?

I’d say a Staffie – friendly and loyal with a gentle and protective nature. I’ve also got lots of energy!

Interests outside of work?

Anything outdoors and I’m in my element! I love to go hiking and camping whenever I get the chance, and I’m a big music fan too.

Seb - Proprietor / Founder

Dog history?

I grew up with family dogs and then volunteered in a dog sanctuary which led to me – inevitably! – adopting 2 unwanted pooches. I stepped out of the corporate world to start Capital way back in 2009; a way of combining a job with a real passion. The novelty has never worn off. And here we are…17 years later.

Best moment at Capital?

Undoubtedly founding the company. Doing so has enabled me to care for fantastic dogs of all shapes and size, and to work with some great people.

Favourite breed?

Working Labradors. Granted, I’m honour bound to say this as I have one. Peekay is genuinely the world’s worst retriever, but he is a lovable beast, and he never fails to make me laugh.

Which breed of dog are you most like?

Beagle. Friendly, outgoing, wilful & occasionally noisy!

Interests outside of work?

Running Capital and being a family man does not leave much time for anything else!

Taz - Day Care Assistant

Dog history?

I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, so they’ve always been a big part of both my childhood and my life. Growing up, I had a German Shepherd called Bruno, who sadly passed away while I was still young. Since then, I’ve gone on to be a dog mum to two loyal German Shepherds and three crazy Cockapoos.

Best moment at Capital?

Every day is the best! I love turning up to the field and seeing all the dogs excited to see me. That’s what makes working at Capital so special.

Favourite breed?

I’d have to say German Shepherds, but Labradors and Cockapoos have a special place in my heart.

Which breed of dog are you most like?

I’d have to say a Labrador – lovable, sociable and super greedy!

Interests outside of work?

I absolutely love to travel and explore new places. If I’m not spending time with my family or exploring somewhere new, I’m definitely building a new Lego set for my collection. Proper big kid at heart!

Timmy - Day Care Assistant

Dog history?

While not having a dog in my family, being from Sheffield and by the Peak District they were always around me. Dog sitting and dog walking opportunities were forever there, which I of course always leapt at the opportunity!

Best moment at Capital?

My best moment so far at Capital would have to be getting my profile picture with Mabel bulldog! Aside from it being probably my favourite picture ever, it really felt like I was now a part of the capital team.

Fave breed?

Golden retrievers will always have my heart, however working at Capital and seeing all the different breeds and their personalities, I love them all!

Which breed of dog are you most similar to?

No bias here but I’d have to say golden retrievers, I’m always eager to please, loyal and definitely love being active!

Interests outside of work?

Anything sporty and I’m in! I used to compete in tennis but now I’m looking to get a qualification in coaching it. My more recent hobby has been mixed martial arts, which I’m loving!
